Backstay Radar Leveling System
The marine-grade stainless-steel tube attaches to the hull securing
the base plate (2"x 4") to the transom or combing. The tube runs
parallel to the backstay, and attaches to it by insulated connectors
at the top of the tube. And, you can remove the tube and platform
assembly while leaving your backstay in place.
If you want a backstay model,
determine if you want it fore or aft of the backstay. You might make
this decision based on whether you have room on the deck to mount
the tube. If you mount the base plate horizontally, it is 2" fore
and aft and 4" port and starboard. Or, you can mount the base plate
vertically.
If you want a backstay model and
you have less then 30" between the leech of your mainsail and the
backstay, you need the aft facing radar levelling system. See models
AA and AF.
If you want a backstay model and
you have more than 30" between the leech of your mainsail and the
backstay, you can order the forward facing radar levelling system.
See models FA and FF.
If you have a split backstay, when
ordering indicate whether you want the radar levelling system on the
port or starboard side. Also, please include angle of the split from
the vertical.
